We need YOU!
Come spend a week in the beautiful White Mountains making lifelong memories with Campers, other Volunteers and Summer Staff!
What's it like being a Counselor?
Counselors are crucial members of the team that makes each Camper feel welcome, safe, and free to explore new things! Counselors are led by volunteer Deans, and supported by Horton Center’s Summer Staff. Counselors lead activities, co-lead Faith Discovery Groups, sleep in cabins with Campers and other Counselors, and connect with amazing Campers who look up to them.
How do I prepare to be a Counselor?
Being a Counselor is an incredible experience! In order to make your week at camp the best it can be, you will meet with your Deans and Co-Counselors virtually before arriving at camp. Upon arrival at camp the day before Campers arrive, you will have time to get situated and to go through a final training led by the Directors.
All Counselors and Volunteers working with youth at Horton Center are required to fill out several forms. Everyone must go online and fill out these forms, even if you have done paper forms in the past.
Please see the instructions for filling out Online Forms.
